Expert Group 3: Maritime



Aims and Objectives

The overall aim of Expert Group 3 is to bring together researchers, policy makers and stakeholders in a series of four 1 day seminars, in order to bring together research and practice and build consensus on the issue of pricing the use of maritime infrastructure. Main objectives are:

  • seeking consensus on still unclear methodological issues on the identification and calculation of social marginal costs in maritime and inland waterway transport;
  • analyse and interpret implemented practices and actual barriers to pricing reform in the maritime and inland waterways sectors.
  • highlighting peculiarities and likely impacts of reform policies in maritime and inland waterways sectors for the new Member States.

The Expert Group Leaders are Arnaud Burgess and Martijn de Kievit (TNO).
