Planning EG 6 Revenues
The first seminar on revenue use is timetabled for October 2006. It is therefore intended that the programme and content of the seminars is developed as the findings from the early seminars of the other expert groups become available. Notwithstanding that at this stage we would envisage the four seminars addressing the following subject areas:
- EG6-1 “Introduction”
Overview of the issues to be considered and planning of the programme for future seminars. Presentation of results of research in the field (e.g. REVENUE, FUNDING)
- EG6-2 “Revenue raising”
Revenue raised from MSC pricing; other approaches to revenue raising (tolls, two part tariffs, price differentiation)
- EG6-3 “Revenue use”
Transport infrastructure investment requirements; hypothecation; other uses of revenues (public transport subsidies, environmental improvement etc.)
- EG6-4 “Conclusions”
Review of previous seminars and attempt to pull together overall conclusions
